In a newly published poll by The Hill/HarrisX Daily, 75% of respondents said they opposed the federal prohibition and criminalization of marijuana, with only 25% saying they support the current policy.

A newly released poll by Elon University found that 73% of North Carolina voters support the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes and 54% of North Carolina voters support the legalization of marijuana for recreational use.
Of all the policy issues discussed by pollsters, respondents’ support was strongest for legalizing cannabis.
“The results show that the majority of U.S. consumers perceive cannabis (as CBD, hemp, marijuana, and THC) as having medical uses and view the potential for abuse of cannabis as less than for commonly prescribed medications and alcohol.”
Sixty-eight percent of respondents endorse legalization — the highest percentage of support ever reported in a national Gallup poll.
“Sixty-six percent of respondents — including 77 percent of Democrats, 58 percent of Independents, and 56 percent of Republicans — said that they support adult-use legalization.”
